Non-Destructive Testing Technician

Perform NDT methods to detect discontinuities in aerospace materials and welds.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform PT, MT, UT or RT inspections to approved procedures
  • Interpret and document indications and test results
  • Set up and verify NDT equipment and calibration
  • Support nonconformance and engineering disposition reviews
  • Maintain NDT qualification and certification records
  • Follow radiation safety and hazardous material controls where applicable

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years of NDT experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Method certification or the documented hours to qualify
  • Ability to interpret specifications, standards and acceptance criteria
  • Strong documentation and ethical conduct in inspection decisions
  • Willingness to travel for training and certification

Preferred certifications

ASNT NDT Level II (PT, MT, UT, RT)
NAS 410 certification
AWS CWI
Radiation safety training
Certifications are recorded as self-reported until verified documentation is reviewed.
