Senior Receiving Inspector

Verify incoming materials, hardware and purchased assemblies before release to production.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw material, hardware and purchased assemblies
  • Verify supplier certifications, lot traceability and shelf-life data
  • Quarantine and document discrepant or undocumented material
  • Coordinate supplier corrective actions with procurement and quality engineering
  • Maintain receiving inspection records and calibration status
  • Mentor junior inspectors on specification interpretation

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of receiving, source or dimensional inspection experience
  • Deep familiarity with material certifications and traceability requirements
  • Experience resolving supplier documentation and specification issues
  • Strong GD&T and measurement background
  • Comfort communicating with suppliers and internal engineering

Preferred certifications

ASQ CQI
AS9100 internal auditor
NDT Level II
Six Sigma Green Belt
Certifications are recorded as self-reported until verified documentation is reviewed.
