Aircraft Structures Technician

Repair, modify and rework aircraft structural components and assemblies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform sheet metal repair, rivet removal and replacement to approved data
  • Carry out structural modifications from engineering dispositions
  • Inspect for corrosion, cracks and damage and document findings
  • Fabricate and fit repair parts using hand and bench tools
  • Complete maintenance records and inspection sign-offs in scope of authority
  • Coordinate with quality inspection on buy-off points

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years of aircraft structures or sheet metal repair experience
  • Working knowledge of repair data, SRMs and engineering dispositions
  • Strong sheet metal fabrication and fitting skills
  • Attention to documentation and traceability
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at height as required

Preferred certifications

A&P License
FAA Airframe Certificate
NDT Level I/II
Structures repair training
Certifications are recorded as self-reported until verified documentation is reviewed.

Program location is Montgomery, Alabama. Exact work sites are confirmed only with an authorized employer requisition.
