Aerospace Quality Inspector

Inspect aviation hardware, assemblies and documentation against engineering and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional, visual and documentation inspection of parts and assemblies
  • Verify first article inspections and in-process buy-off points
  • Raise, document and contain nonconforming product
  • Review certifications of conformance and material traceability
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience
  • Ability to interpret GD&T, specifications and inspection plans
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges and comparators
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality systems
  • Strong written documentation and recordkeeping

Preferred certifications

ASQ CQI / CQA
AS9100 internal auditor
NDT Level II
GD&T training
Certifications are recorded as self-reported until verified documentation is reviewed.

3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
