Aerostructure Assembly Technician

Aerostructure Assembly

Assemble, fit and fasten primary and secondary aircraft structures to engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Drill, ream, countersink and install fasteners in metallic and composite assemblies
  • Fit and align structural subassemblies using jigs, fixtures and shims
  • Apply sealants and corrosion protection to specification
  • Read and work from engineering drawings, planning and work instructions
  • Perform in-process inspection and record measured results
  • Maintain tooling, consumables and a clean, FOD-free work area

Required qualifications

  • 2+ years of aircraft structures or precision assembly experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and planning documents
  • Comfort with handheld power tools and precision measurement instruments
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
  • Ability to work shifts and stand for extended periods

Preferred certifications

A&P License
Airframe Certificate
Boeing or Airbus structures training
Lean / 5S training
Certifications are recorded as self-reported until verified documentation is reviewed.

2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Program location is Montgomery, Alabama. Exact work sites are confirmed only with an authorized employer requisition.
